Finding Glimmers

This fall, Love Dahlia is encouraging everyone to focus on Finding Glimmers. A glimmer is a micro-moment that brings joy, safety, or calm—essentially the opposite of a trigger. Finding these small signs of hope can improve mental health by regulating the nervous system and shifting the brain away from a natural negativity bias.

This campaign aims to bring our community together to find hope through local events and connect with others. We invite you to share your own glimmers or acts of kindness on our community blog.

Together, we can Live Like Dahlia Siders.

Our Story

Live Like Dahlia Siders

Our beloved Dahlia Siders, who we lost too soon on November 10, 2024 at the age of 12, was a bright light who loved animals (especially narwhals and axolotls) and nature. Dahlia enjoyed sports from an early age. She played on the Howell, MI Recreation Soccer team from the age of 3 and began swimming when she was just 6 months old. She went on to swim for South Lyon Aquatics and the Howell Middle School Swim Team. Dahlia was also a creative soul and was a member of Team KRASH, the middle school robotics team.  She was a proud member of the Girl Scouts. As a toddler, Dahlia would tag along with her sister to meetings until she was old enough to join and was then a member for 8 years.

Dahlia brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her kind heart, strong spirit, undaunted curiosity, infectious giggles and her love and affection. Though her time with us was too brief, the depth of love and happiness she shared will forever remain in our hearts.
